Hi all.

Someone came to me with a problem with his Ipod shuffle.
He can't hear music from his Ipod.
The saleswoman told him he had to install a program and after that it would work.

I think she meant that it had to convert the music to some other format.
Is it needed to convert your MP3 files before you can play them on the Ipod?

Apple itself has no FAQ about this problem.

he needs to use itunes to place music on the drive. If he just transfered files to the shuffle, as if it were a usb flash drive, then it won't be able to read them.
Itunes won't have any issues with the music as long as it is in mp3 format and DRM free. Songs purchased through Itunes will have drm and will play fine.
