PROBLEM SOLVED, THANKS 'MAJOR PAYNE', AND 'WHISKEYMAN' 2.

I looked for, and found, a dounloadable wing32.dll on a website, but someone told be to be careful of that website. He said he knows of people who have downloaded files from there that have messed up the systems they were installed on.

Where can I download a copy, and how can I find out what else I am missing? I don't have the original software (apparently the co., I bought computer from didn't give it to me after they installed the software).

Also, as per Whiskeyman's advice I installed a new graphics driver that I found on the HP website, and which is specifically for my system, and that fixed the problem. So I looked there for the WING32 file, but couldn't find it. [ How do I close out that post so people don't waste time answering it since that specific problem is taken care of? ]

Thanks

p.s., I am sometimes unable to log in to G.T.G. and if that problem gets worse, I might not even be able to access this forum. So if I don't answer someone who offers help, you will know it's not because I'm not interrested, but am unable to. But hopefully I can at some point fix that, probably by purchasing a new computer in the (perhaps somewhat near?) future.

As per Major Payne's suggestion, here is a list of some sites that offer dll downloads. The last on the list is one someone told me to stay away from, but I left it on the list because I would like to know if anyone can confirm that.

http://www.dll-downl...lyrequested.asp
http://www.5starsupp...om/info/dll.htm
http://www.classicpc...ntial_software/
http://www.dll-files...earch.php?s=dll (??????)

So, does anyone know which of those I can trust, from your personal experience?

If your previous problem has been solved, then you should post back to it saying how it was solved. Post will be closed eventually or it will let WhiskeyMan know you were able to correct your problem with his advice. Someone will look into a good DL site for win32.dll, but any file you are going to download should be scanned for viruses.
