2 new windows instead of 1?

HI all, This only happens from my works pc (IE) xp sp2, so it's some setting somewhere i guess.

If i click on a link from within a Gmail email, i get 2 identicals windows opening up. This also happens with links from Kelkoo.

Now if i go and close the second window before it's fully loaded (the one behind) then i just keep getting windows opening up everywhere and i have to kill ie off in task manager!

Any ideas guyz?
