Have been using Dell with Windows XP for several years. I want to go to a MAC. Need info as to if I can open Windows XP files on Mac.

I do not want to install Window on the Mac. Ideas please.

The files I wanted to preserve are data storage, works created manuscripts and 2 cookbooks.

I have been convinced that Mac OS will eliminate many Windows problems. Is it possible to capture these files or do I have to start over from scratch?

No, that would be illegal. The only way to get an apple OS is to buy a apple computer.

I may be wrong, but can't this only be used as an upgrade from previous versions of Apples OS.
