If you have the Nero CD, make a note of the product key and re-install it

You could try Nero 7 with Nero 6 uninstalled

If I go to create a data cd and put files on it then it will allow me to burn. Just when Im trying to burn this as a video dvd.

haha wow ok so now I got the option to burn it. It said the DVD video compliance test failed. I think im just gonna give up.

If you have a DVD RW disc, try convertx, just add the AVI file the trial version watermarks the output but it will check whether it is the file or Nero
