I am using a wireless network now, but i can't seems to be able to connect to my own network. I am actually not sure what going on, yes i am able to connect, but when i open I.E no matter what url i type it doesn't come out, just except the error page. So i click on repair and it say error with clearing the arp cache. But then when i connect to other people wireless networks around my residence area, hey i can use them instead ! So can anyone tell me what going on and how do i solve it please ?

no, i tired to but i cant ping. it says request timed out. Sorry but you think you know waht my problem ? i went to the website that you intro to but it confused me with all the techincal terms. do u tink u can put it to layman terms for mi ?

firstly check wireless n/w card thru
-----network and internet connections
click on network connections
if you have a wireless card it will be there----

check if its enabled else enable it firstly

if this doesn't work out check whether u have permission to access the wireless n/w, also check SSID it should me mathching with wireless device u r communicating.

2 suggestions if you are using XP home edition

1 Open notepad and write this: netsh interface ip delete arpcache
Save it as a batch file to clear the cache manually
Put it somewhere convenient (like the Desktop)

2 Disable and stop Routing and Remote Access found in Services or Computer Management ...These are found in Administrative Tools in the Control Panel
