I'm having an issue with the on board NIC on a Intel MB (D845GVSR). I have reloaded the Bios, Updated the MB chipset and attempted to update the NIC drivers. After the update wizard completes the following message appears: "Cannot start this hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware. Intel Pro/100VE Network Connection. Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing [Code 39]." I also installed a PCI NIC and disabled the "On Board" with the same results. Any thoughts???
Thanks
Rick A.

might want to look here for the drivers Intel® PRO/100 VE...
what is the name of the PCI NIC you installed...try using the device manager to uninstall the NIC..reboot...let windows
" find" the new hardware..put the driver cd in when windows asks to search for drivers...
