Hello all,

I am new here, and i have already
a problem.

I have a Dell pc , a Dimension 5150.
I restored windows xp with the XP CD.
However, there are no drivers on that disc
Visit the driver site here

When you follow the link you will be linked to the driver site of the dimension 5150.
I have almost installed all drivers, but there is one big problem.

The right Sound driver is not there. or on the creactive website.
I have an "Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD audio"

I can not find any driver for it.
Does somebody know how to solve this problem?

Thank you for reading this, and i hope there is a solution for it :whistling:

Hi and Welcome to GeekstoGo.

I did some looking and found this audigy driver. This is from the Main dell site. If that doesn't work, you may need to visit http://creativelabs.com/ and download the normal audigy driver.

I have downloaded that driver too.
I tried also other Augidy drivers, but they all give the same error before
installation: No device found.

The Driver which send you to me is the only one who does not give that error.
It prepares itself to instal with instalshield. Then there will be no installation only
a screen what say: "Installation completed, please restart now."

After the restart there is no sound.
There is also no real installation.

what language is your os? Can you provide me with your system service tag. That way I can look up your specific system configuration.

Click on START-->RUN and type in B]devmgmt.msc[/B] and hit the ENTER key or click OK.
<enter>. Look for any red x's or yellow marks. These are indicators that there is a problem with associated device. If there are any please list them here.

Hello Starjax.

I want to thank you for your advise.
The problem was that is didn't use the correct OS cd.

I have used the originel cd, and now the sound driver will work.

Again, thank you :whistling:
