If it can be placed in its own folder, you can password protect the folder?

Right click a folder, click properties, click sharing, tick make this folder private, click apply, create a password

Or you can archive it with Winrar or a zip utility and give it a password. You can even encrypt the password on certain web sites and have the receiver of the file decrypt it there, so you could send the code and encrypted password by other means.
