I have my windows 2000 set to do auto install of updates.

It has worked fine for years.

Yesterday the globe indicating an upgrade was available and I clicked to install it. It said it updated but the little globe won't go away and each time I click it the update option is still there.

I went to the windows update page and installed it from there but this icon keeps popping up.

I have rebooted the system twice and it won"t go away.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi ScottAz!

Try disabling automatic updates. Reboot your computer afterwards. Then re-enable automatic updates and reboot your computer again. See if the update balloon still appears.
