1) on the start menu the shut off opition is gone

2) for my folders i have the adress bar on but for some reason now when ever i try to type something in to go to another fold all i get is "Access to the resource 'blah blah' has been disallowed"

i ran a spybot, avg anti-virus and ad-awear this morning and cleaned that up but i still have these 2 problems.

any ideas?

Are you the administrator user in your computer.

You have some security restriction set on your system that is preforming these actions.

If you acculy changed settings it would be in gpedit.msc however if it was just working fine tell yesterday.

While I usualy do not recommend this but it may be our easyist option Have you tried a system restore.

It is entirely possible that despite your scans, your system is still hosting Malware. Modern for-profit malware is being designed to be very difficult to remove, and often disables many system functions that would be helpful in its removal. I strongly suggest you go Here: http://www.geekstogo...-Log-t2852.html and follow all the instructions. When that is complete, post a HiJackThis log in that forum section. When your trained malware removal specialist tells you that your log is clean, if you still are having difficulties, post back to this thread and we will help you sort them out.

Ya on second thought now that I think about it. It would be better for you to get cleared from malware before we do any system restores.
