Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to address a cry for help from a non-saavy individual who is about to pull her hair out. I let my parents borrow my laptop last week; I'm not sure what happened, but when I got my computer back it would crash within five minutes of using internet explorer (however, if I removed the wireless card and worked offline, it was mostly fine). Also, the CPU usage would go up to 100% and just shut down everything, with lots of processes that I had never seen before (e.g. iexplore.exe, etc). I already ran AD-AwareSE (found/eliminated 13 files), Spybot (nothing), and CA Anti-virus (nothing, had to download the free trial because I had to uninstall the previous version when it was no longer functioning, at all). I tried to download the anti-trojan recommended on your site but the computer kept freezing. I did download the Windows updates, I'm not sure if they installed (again, the computer crashed mid-process). My hijackthis log is posted below.
