Today I went into system properties and my Amd 3800+ dual core 939 socket said it was running at 1.79ghz. I thought it was soposed to run at 2 ghz. Is it dieing or does to go up and down. Computer seems to run great lately.

It's a power feature to reduce power consumption, the clock speed will go down when idles and jump back up once it's under load.
