Hello and welcome to GeeksToGo!

I am logreeval and will be helping you clean your computer :whistling:

Your logs appear to be clean, lets just make one last check.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report
==========

When done post:
  • Panda ActiveScan log
  • Fresh HijackThis log

Hi logreeval,
I couldn't finish to scan with Panda ActiveScan. The following message appeared:

An error has occurred downloading Panda ActiveScan. Please repeat the process. If the error occurs again, restart your system and try againPossible causes of this error are:

Not allowing the application's ActiveX control to be downloaded.

Problems with the Internet connection.

The error could be due to a download error or an installation error due to lack of hard disk space, privileges etc.,...

I don't see any of the above listed reasons that t cause the problem.
Should I try to scan with some other program?

Thanks. Respect! :whistling:

Thats fine.

Let's try this one :whistling:

Please run a BitDefender Online Scan
  • Click I Agree to agree to the EULA.
  • Allow the ActiveX control to install when prompted.
  • Click Click here to scan to begin the scan.
  • Please refrain from using the computer until the scan is finished. This might take a while to run, but it is important that nothing else is running while you scan.
  • When the scan is finished, click on Click here to export the scan results.
  • Save the report to your desktop so you can post it in your next reply.
When done post the Bitdefender log and a fresh HijackThis log.

Thanks logreeval 4 ur help again. Computer works fine. Just I wonder wich antivirus to have? Or just to stick the one I already have??? Up untill now I was using AntiVir Personal Edition. Do I need any extra protection than that? There is also SUPER Anti Spyware which I am using to scan my system time to time.
Any better idea how to protect my PC?

Thanks & take care!

Congratulations! You are clean

The AntiVirus you are using is very good, and I recommend it! :help:

Now that you are clean of all malware, there are a few steps I need you to complete:

Defrag your Hard Drive, to do this:
  • Click Start>> Run>> Type Compmgmt.msc.
  • Click Disk Defragmenter.
  • Click the volume that you want to defragment(Usually C:) and then click Defragment.
Now, you need to clear your restore points. Here is a tutorial on how-to.

The following are some tips to prevent future infection:

Anti-Spyware Scanners are important to have, I recommend you scan at least once every 2 weeks:
AVG Antispyware
A-Squared Antispyware

Real Time Anti-Spyware Programs protect you in Real-Time, not just scan after you infected, they are nice to have to prevent infections:
SpywareGuard
SpywareBlaster
SpywareTerminator

Internet Explorer is not the most secure browser available. I recommend using one of these browsers:
Firefox
Opera

*NOTE*If you keep Internet Explorer, here is a link to tighten up the security of Internet Explorer.

It is important to clear out temporary files, many types of malware hide in the temp, here are some programs to clear out the temp folders:
CCleaner
ATF Cleaner

Windows Update is a very important thing to do. It contains critical security patches for Internet Explorer and Windows.

Hi,
it seems to be a problem with AVG Antispyware and my PC color quality, it requites 64bit, where mine is just 34. So I am not able to install it?

I guess that from the whole list of programs that u've listed above I don't need every single of them, but just to choose one from each of the group, that's right?

Thanks 4 ur time!

I am not sure why AVG Antispyware is not installing..right click the desktop > Properties > Settings > Color Quality, set it to highest.

And, no you don't need every program, I would say what you have right now is fine..those are just different options you can take for the different areas of protection.
