[demion06]

AntiVir has detected TR/Spy.Agent.132660 and quarantined C:\Windows\system32\lkubkstl.dll After restarting computer it gets an error b/c that file is in quarantine atm. Among that ive been getting tons of Win antivirus Pro pop-ups. Ive run spybot to no avail and im not sure where to go from here and what to do with the file in quarantine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan

• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button
• Enter your Country
• Enter your State/Province
• Enter your e-mail address and click send
• Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report

hi logreeval, thx for assisting me.

Downloaded and Scaned with Vundo. But when i downloaded the Panda's Active Scan...antivir found a virus in the download. "C:\Windows\System32\Activescan\SET41.tmp contains signatures of the windows virus W95/Blumblebee.1738". I have thus moved it to quaratine. Not to sure if i should try doing the Panda scan again?

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these files (if present):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\lkubkstl.dll

After that, Reboot.

fixed selected in HJT and "C:\WINDOWS\system32\lkubkstl.dll" was not present.

Ran the Bitdefender scan succesfully altho antivir did locate the following during the Bitdefender scan:

TR/Crypt.XPack.Gen
TR/Dldr.VB.WZ.4 (in 2 different files)
TR/Spy.Agent.132660

and another file with the signature of the windows virus W95/Blumblebee.1738, all of which i moved into quaratine via antivir. Although I have not deleted them yet.

Ill attach the Bitdefender report so it'll be easier to read than copying and pasting it.

the computer seems to be running fine and as for detections as of right now it isnt getting any. Also seems the pop-ups for that win antivirus pro are gone as well.

Congratulations! You are clean

Now that you are clean of all malware, there are a few steps I need you to complete:

Defrag your Hard Drive, to do this:

• Click Start>> Run>> Type Compmgmt.msc.
• Click Disk Defragmenter.
• Click the volume that you want to defragment(Usually C:) and then click Defragment.

Now, you need to clear your restore points. Here is a tutorial on how-to.

The following are some tips to prevent future infection:

Anti-Spyware Scanners are important to have, I recommend you scan at least once every 2 weeks:
AVG Antispyware
A-Squared Antispyware

Real Time Anti-Spyware Programs protect you in Real-Time, not just scan after you infected, they are nice to have to prevent infections:
SpywareGuard
SpywareBlaster
SpywareTerminator

Internet Explorer is not the most secure browser available. I recommend using one of these browsers:
Firefox
Opera
*NOTE*If you keep Internet Explorer, here is a link to tighten up the security of Internet Explorer.

It is important to clear out temporary files, many types of malware hide in the temp, here are some programs to clear out the temp folders:
CCleaner
ATF Cleaner

Windows Update is a very important thing to do. It contains critical security patches for Internet Explorer and Windows.
