Windows Icons and Startup Bar disapeared

My Icons and start up menu disapeared all I can see is my background image. I downloaded Hijack This and did a scan my log showed the following:

I am wondering what I need to do from here...PLEASE help. I cant access anything else on my computer.

Hello Sarahh12 and welcome to the G2G HijackThis forum. Yes, it looks like we have a few things on here to take care of.

Can you start Windows Explorer through the Task Manager so we can use it to start other programs? Try this: press the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys at the same time and see if Task Manager comes up. If so, click the Task Manager button to get to the Task Manager screen. Now click the New Process button and then the Browse button and navigate to c:\program files\internet explorer and double-click on iexplore.exe to start Internet Explorer.

If that works then open this topic and click on the links below to save the 2 programs to the c:\ drive (go ahead and save them to the root folder):

VundoFix.exe

WinPFind3u.exe

Let me know if you successfully downloaded the files. If the above did not work then we will need to download them to a different computer and transfer them by floppy disk, CD or memorystick (whatever is available on both machines).

Once the files are in place I can give you instructions on running them.
