Please disable SpySweeper for now.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://rd.yahoo.com/.../search/ie.html

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot the system.

Were you having these problem before you installed SpySweeper?
Did the online scans find anything?

Please post back here with a fresh log.

I wasnt having trouble getting online before I installed spy sweeper.. I couldnt get back on line after I thought I removed everything and ran SP2. After reboot it would not connect through a URL but will ping. so I can not run a online scan. it will not allow me to enable Norton firewall nor uninstall it either, but when I do try to access internet all kinds of ports get opened. likeTCP port 135,139,445,1025,1026,1029,1033,5000,9105 all in use. UDP ports 123,137,138,445,500,1027,1039,1900,10714 in use.

Please try to (temporarily) uninstall SpySweeper. It needs to be configured in the right way or it will overprotect you (giving these kind of problems).
Reboot the system, check if it is gone.

See if you can get a normal connection then.

If that solves the problem, SpySweeper was the cause. You can install it, but you then need to configure it to work with you and not against you.

Yet another idea (got it from my collegue on another forum).

It could be that Norton ScriptBlocking is in the way. Open Norton Security and disable Scriptblocking in the menu. Then try the uninstall for SpySweeper again.

The uninstall on spysweeper went fine.. Nortons however wont let me enable or disable ANYTHING!!! So I thought I would try something and so far so good. I just installed a different firewall and configured it to block all ports that were being opened.. I'm on the net and getting the rest removed.. Thanks for all your help. It's greatly appreciated!!!

Oke, let's see what happens.

Download Sphjfix.
Don't use it yet.

***

Please download and unzip
About:Buster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program.
AboutBuster MUST be updated before you use it.
Start AboutBuster, click the update button, check for update, drag the box to the side and hit download updates, close the box. Don't run it yet.

***

Download CWShredder, update it.

***

Disable Spywareguard and Norton and Spybot Teatimer as they may stand in the way.

***

Then open CWShredder and click ‘fix’.

***

Now run About:Buster twice. Save it's logs, I'd like to see them.

***

Run Sphjfix.

***

Open HijackThis.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = https://employees.ww...emp/index.shtml (obfuscated)

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\Userinit.exe

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot the system.

***

Let's do this online scan:
http://www3.ca.com/s...sinfo/scan.aspx
Have it scan the entire computer.
When it's done it will report on infected files.

Please place that report here in your answer, along with the logs from About:Buster.
