My situation is the same as PiePie from a previous post:
http://www.geekstogo...-Hors...l&st=0

I tried to do the same but his was fixed fairly quicky. Mine unfortunatly not.

I'm running Free AVG, Have ran Superspyware several times, adaware, spywareblaster, spybot and HijackThis.
I help people out when in need and usually I am very sucessful on my own, but this little bugger has got me stumped.
I'm to am unable to "move to vault" or "heal" the infected file because it seems to replicate itself, because I get the same "infected" message every time I try to get on the internet. It shows up in the windows Temp file usually looking like 1234567.exe or some variation of.

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

1. Download this file - combofix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

This isn't going to resolve it, just clean you up a bit. Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL,ClientStartup -s
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\mwsoemon.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Configuration Manager] C:\WINDOWS\cfg32.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PopularScreensaversWallpaper] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\F3SCRCTR.DLL,LES
O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.co...etup1.0.0.8.cab

Exit HijackThis when done. Reboot, rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here. Give me specific details on the problem you are having.

I have run (it seems) every know scanner I can get my hands on (j/k). But this is what happens:

If the computer is NOT hooked up to the internet (which is dsl) then the computer seems well, runs at a pretty clippy speed, but as soon as I plug in the cat5 cable the activity lights go crazy on my netgear switch as well as the light on the cat5 connector. After about 15~30 seconds I get a pop up message from AVG that it has found a virus (c:\Windows\Temp\132581221.exe Trojan horse Dropper.Generic.JGY) I have chosen to heal, send to vault, and every other option. Although the # changes each time it occurs. Now if I leave theinternet hook up continuously I get the pop up message about every 3~7 mins and I havent yet been able to reach a web site successfuly yet, it tries but it takes to long and I get a time out error.

I have ran:Combofix, AFT Cleaner, AVG Anti-Spy, HighJackThis, SuperAntiSpywareRemover, VundoFix, Adaware, Spybot cwshredder, WareoutFix, LSPFix,

Disabled System restore
Cleared all temporary internet files
I DID NOT clear cookies from Users accounts
At an eariler stage of trying to get rid of this I disabled a lot of services and start-ups through MSCONFIG panel, but have restored to originaly how it was so you could see how it was setting as I got this machine.
By the way disableing services and startups did help either.

Hope thats enough info.
Once again Thanks for taking the time...
Good luck

It's not jumping out at me yet. Do a couple more things for me.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\882984105.dat - zip it up and send to this e-mail address including a link to this thread in the body of the email.

Please download AVG Anti-Rootkit Beta from here and save it to your desktop.

Double click the file to install it. Accept the licence and follow the prompts to install and reboot. After rebooting, you should see the icon for AVG Anti-Rootkit Beta on your desktop. Double click it to open the program. You will see a window with 4 buttons at the bottom of it. Click Search For Rootkits and the program will start a scan, you will see the progress bar moving from left to right. When the scan is complete, a small window will open alerting you to the result. If anything was found, click Save Result To File and post that in your reply.

If nothing was found, please click the Perform in-depth Search saving anything found to file as before.

Download WinPFind3U.exe to your Desktop and double-click on it to extract the files. It will create a folder named WinPFind3u on your desktop.
  • Open the WinPFind3u folder and double-click on WinPFind3U.exe to start the program.
  • Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
  • When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
  • Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.
Use the Add Reply button and Copy/Paste the information back here. I will review it when it comes in. If, after posting, the last line is not < End of Report > then the log is too big to fit into a single post and you will need to split it into multiple posts.
