Error message help - svchost.exe

Hi there,

Im having a problem with the sound on my laptop. I believe it is linked to an error message as it dosnt work whenever i recieve this error message:

svchost.exe - Aplication error

The instruction at "0x745f2780" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to termate.
Click cancel to debug

HJT Log Removed

Any help will be much apriciated

Hi Gogogreg and welcome to geeks to go.

For future referance plase do not post a hijack this Log in this forum.

If you feel like you have Malware problem.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Instructions things to do before posting in the malware fourm.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

First Please turn off automatic updates.

Please go to Microsoft's website. And Download this update and install.

This should fix your problem.
