Can't Install Critical Update

just like to ask this forum i've installed Windows Media Player 9 and installed critical updates for it, however having gone back to Windows update this critical Patch is still there it is a script command (kb828026)
I have tried a few times it downloads installs and it tell me everything was successfull but on return I scan my PC and it's tell me I still need to install it.
