Well to put it simply im getting complaints about static in my microphone, almost like running water. i put on noise supression my pc offers and its still there just quieter... i was wondering if its an internet connection problem ,mic problem , or sound card problem? i was trying to figure out what sound card i had but iwasnt able to find a real name.

my pc is a HP media center pc m7590 >< im not sure if that helps.

and i have horrible comcast internet -.- this netgear box is over heating as we speak, im actually keeping a bag of ice under it lol. ty for reading.

The microphone is probably picking up interference from somewhere else, most likely your speakers or some other sort of electrical device. If you have a CRT monitor its even possible that due to the way these work the beam that refreshes the screen is causing the interference.

Don't forget though that the atmosphere is full of natural white noise and some environments will naturally echo more than others. While its unlikely that your microphone can pick this up, its something to think about. Microphones are given away for next to nothing these days so its entirely plausible that yours has developed a fault and is cheap to replace.

hmm.. gotcha! well i have an LCD flat planel, my PC is just one of those big loud boxes but its not extremely loud. i was wondering if the sound card would effect quality >< or even connection. the noise supression helped so... now im wondering if its possibly where i live.
