Hey,

I got the full version of Fraps and I installed it. When I open the program nothing happens at all, no icon in the tray either.

Can someone help?

Hi Barros,

Have you tried right-clicking the shortcut and try running as an administrator?

Ah, normally the programs that WILL work in Vista say they will work in Vista.

Please contact the Fraps company about your issue.

Hi Barros,

I know that there are a few around, as I have personally made a few. You can try Free Game Cam. Make sure you run it AS AN ADMINISTRATOR at all times. the link is http://www.freegamecam.com/fgcinfo.php. Tell me if this works please.

Locate the shortcut for FRAPS and right-click on it and choose PROPERTIES. In the new window that appears, click on the COMPATIBILITY tab and change it so it runs in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2. Click APPLY and OK and then try running it again.

BARROS,

I had Fraps working perfectly on Vista Business 64-bit without any problem. Well ..... I had no audio, but never bothered to investigate that, as I only needed the video.

I can't remember how I configured Fraps, and that PC is temporarily down until next month. Sorry.

But if you're still having problems with it, I could reinstall it on another PC, to see what I did (if anything) to get it to work.

Regards,
John

If you have the audio issue follow this link once the computer is up and running.
