Hey guys,
I am running into a couple of BSOD. This is on a Dell PC running Windows XP home
First this comes up:

STOP: c000021A {Fatal system error}

The windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000018 (0x00000000 0x00000000)

The system has been shut down

I installed windows xp PRO on another folder \WINDOWS1 so I could pull some important files. However, I realized that my name is pw protected, so I could not get it out.
THen I found my Windows XP Home CD and tried to repair it but that freezes on me during the install.
Finally I used this link

which seems like it would work but led to this BSOD

PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

What should I do next? All i care about is my pictures and documents under 'My Documents'
I want to put the HD in a second computer as a slave, but will I be able to retrieve the files since it is pass protected?

Hi jokgga...

Log on to the new (parallel) installation. Navigate to one of the files or folders you want to recover, and see if you can Take Ownership. If you are running XP Home Edition, this will have to be accomplished in Safe Mode.

now how do I remove the windows parrallel folder so it doesnt give me the choice when my pc boots up

Does the original installation start and run at all? Have you installed any hardware or software on this machine just prior to it acting up? Updated any drivers?

The most common cause of the BSOD's you were getting is a registry monitoring program of some type...usually Go Back. This can be installed by either Roxio or Norton System Works. If the machine will run, start the original os and remove Go Back if you have it installed. Then try the repair again using the correct cd.

Let's see if we can get the original install running better before we remove the parallel install.
