Hey hopefully somebody can help me, this is probably an easy problem to fix anyway. Every time i try to view a short mpeg clip of something, a window pops up that says " an error has occured with ie and needs to close." why is this happening?

start > run
eventvwr.msc

Look under APPLICATIONS for a RED X at the time this error occured.
Double click, report back

It says source-application error, catergory-none, event-1000

Could you add a little more to that error? You can click the little double page icon and then paste it here

Event 1000 errors are generic, almost useless. They typically mean a system file is corrupt, and they typically mean the best way to fix your computer is to do a system repair installation.

More info would be more helpful.

Reinstalling WMP might work, too
