Compared to that, stepping onto a plane to go to Spain was like getting on a bus! I've never even seen a customs agent all the many times I've come back from a european holiday. Palma airport in mallorca doesn't even have a customs inspection desk in arrivals - you pick up your bags, you walk out the door!
