My mic does not work on my Dell XP pc. I have gone through a number of tests. I checked to see if it is muted , it is not. The volume control is at maximum, I have done a hardware test and it said it could not detect my voice. I am at an end of what I can do. Is it possible that this Dell doesn't support a mic? Is there anything else I can do to install or test the mic?

Hi. Do you know if you have a sound card installed, or on-board sound? I imagine that if you have a mic jack then you can use it, but you never know... Try updating drivers for your sound card/device as well.

Thanks for the advice. I tried one more thing that I hadn't thought of. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it work.
