The choice up to you. Me, personally, being a gamer I wouldn't wait the time for a new build w/o being able to game. Although at the time in which I bought mine I had fried two Xboxs and didn't have that to hold me over.

I worded that wrong, I forgot the key word most. The updated stuff isn't horrible, but is far from good.

I recommend getting a AGP card, unless you plan on rebuilding within a year. Otherwise the PCI will hold you back compared to a AGP card. You can get which ever you like thats your choice but I highly recommend you stay away from the FX series, they have a troubled past.
