Hey, not sure where to post this. Mostly because im not sure what is causing it. So far theres only one website but whenever I try to go to ebaumsworld on my home computers it takes like 5 minutes for the page to load. i know its not the website because at school it loads fine. And I know its not my internet because i brought my computer over to a friends house and it still took forever to load the page. I dont know whats causing it or anyway to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry but i dont know what logs if any to post to help.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I guess i should mention that ive tried the website in IE and in firefox. and its the same in both. Ive gotten rid of all temp files and did a virus scan and didnt find anything/ it didnt fix it.

How fast is your connection, your friend's connection and the school's connection?
This isn't a particularly fast site to load anyway, especially with the amount of video on it.

uhh, i dont know. but my internet is faster than my friends though. its just that before(like a couple months i guess) it was just fine. the webpage would load just as quickly as any other. im guessing there is something wrong with my home computers. im fine with it(dont really visit that sight anymore anyways) its just that i want to know why just one website takes forever to load. for JUST my computers.

Download Speed: 1428 kbps (178.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 468 kbps (58.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

I guess thats it. just did one of those free test things.

I guess I was just wondering if there was some program that would thoroughly check my hard drive for virus' and the like. As I think I've said, I'm fine with it because I don't visit that site that often. It's just that since one page doesn't load, it makes me think that there is something on my computer and I was wanting to get rid of it. I'm thinking that it probably would be best to ask this in another forum. I just don't know which one.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Yeah, thankyou. I wandered around and found that page. Hadn't had time to start doing anything with it though. I'll be back if it's still a problem.

Hmm....It still takes a while to load. Like I said though, I don't go there that often anymore. It just bugs me and makes me think something is wrong with my computer.
