hi
welcome to geekstogo
do you get any error messages when you boot your pc? I'm looking for some repair tools that you may be able to run off you floppy drive if you can download them off a other pc.

Hello.

Thanks for the help. I dont get on a comp. often these days so I cant monitor this post well. I dont get ""Error" messesges per say, but upon start up on the B+W DOS screen in "set up" ( F-4) I get problem noted but ( sory!) I dont remeber specificly. One I remember is listed as "Unkown Problem". If I could dwnload a de-bugg program onto a floppy, that might help. Thanks again for any assistance.

Do you have a Windows 98 boot disk (floppy)? Reboot your computer using the boot disk, and at the command prompt type "scanreg /restore" (without quotes). Choose a date before the problem began.

This will restore the Windows registry to an earlier version. If this doesn't work you'll likely be forced to reformat and reinstall. <_<
