Lately my PC has always been at 100% CPU usage, and I can barely do anything. I've scanned with AVG and HitmanPro, and I've killed my malware. explorer.exe is taking up my CPU usage according to process manager.

My computer was fine a few days ago, staying around 0%-20% CPU usage.us I haven't done anything different since then. Just one day I booted up, and it started at 100% CPU usage. Also, my Desktop icons take 5minutes+ to show when I first logon.

Hope someone can help me!

Welcome to Geeks to Go.

Please read this first: http://www.geekstogo...-Log-t2852.html.

Once you have read that follow step #6 and post a HiJackThis log here: http://www.geekstogo...o-Here-f37.html.

If you are still having issues after a malware expert says that you are clean, then please return to this thread.

Just in case you haven't tried this:

Press ctrl +alt +del.
Select the process tab.
Sort by name.
locate explorer.exe.
Right click on explorer.exe> set priority> select normal.
If that doesn't fix it than I can't help sorry.

Good luck,

The malware team atm is understaffed. They are struggling but there are doing their best. If it has been more than three days then go here: The waiting room. Be sure to read the sticky at the top.
