I'm running Wim ME & IE6. About 20-30% of the time when I type in a URL, IE goes to wmsource.net instead of what I typed in. Virus? adware? spyware? How do I get rid of it?

Whatever it was, the domain is now no longer working. Anyway its a site that uses security holes to install nasty programs so you may well be infected.
