I have just recently started getting tis problem. It appears everytime i start my computer. The system loads up, when i check the task manager, i see explorer running too but on the screen there are no icons - just the default XP backround picture! Now I found out tat once i terminate explorer.exe and run it again from task manager, everything loads up - but tat is not the solution to the problem. If it helps in any way, i should also mention that recently i installed simply accounting and Visual Basic 6.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Lakdibhai.
