why does my computer have this "Stop Kernal_Stack_Impage_Error

Could be any number of things from a virus to failing hard drive or bad memory. What are your system specs, brand and do you have access to a Windows CD. Does this error prevent you from booting or is it a random error?

THis error is now preventing me from booting into windows 2000. After I installed it, the driver installation part of the process who come to this annoying error
