Line in Only plays on Front speakers

I have a laptop what has a line going to the line in of my desktop and when i listen to music on the laptop the music only plays on my desktops front speakers.. is there a way to make if play on rear and center?

I don't think there is a way, I believe that the line-in is only two channel stereo so it will only play on two speakers.

Thats what i thought. but i didnt know if any one had made a program that could make line in play on all the speakers...
i looked around alot and can find no program like that.... Thanks for you help.
