alright so i bought a new tower, HP PAVILLION A6000N, it comes with an internal harddrive and it has space enough for another, the harddrive that comes inside is a Serial ATA hard drive, the old one that i took out of my old tower is a DMA/ATA-33 (Ultra), so is there anything i can do to add the old one as a storage drive? what kind of wires would i need? thanks for the help

A PATA hard drive can be on the same IDE cable as a CD drive but the hard drive has to be the master drive. The jumper on the back determines whether the drive is mater or slave. Most likely it was originally on "cable select". You can check out jumper settings from different manufactures here: Jumper Viewer. Also your CD drive will have to be set to slave.
