Yeh, I did a normal search for all pictures including hidden files before
could not find it
thats why im doing file recovery

how long do files take to be overwritten ?

depends on how much you have used your computer since then, in particular how much data moving you have done since then...

yeh i havent used it much
its 72% done
and it found around 29300 files i will check tomorrow and tell you if it worked

Well the file recovery is done and found a lot of files

and I found some shortcuts to the files in Recent Documents

I attached a screenshot of all the things that showed up on Active File Recovery

I don't really know where to find the files if they were recovered

I tried clicking the shortcuts but it makes my computer freeze

Looks like you need to select the files you want back, and then find an option that lets you recover them. I haven't used that program, so I'm not sure exactly where it is.

Can you tell what program you have (succesfully) used ?
coz this is a demo and it doenst let me recover files over 65 kb

Haven't ever had to do this, so sorry - no. Maybe just hang on a bit and see if someone else can recommend one.

not sure if this will work...but try downloading picasa . from here...when you install it it will ask if you want it to search for photos..say yes and it will grab everything and put into the picasa program
