When i play any of my games during a 2-5 minute gameplay the game freezes completely but the audio keeps playing for about 10 seconds then stops then for about 5-10 later the game unfreezes and continues gameplay but then 2-5 minutes later it happens again. this keeps happening through out every 2-5 minutes it gets very frustrating. Some of the games it happening on is Hitman Contracts and Sniper Elite and Call of Duty 2. My system meets all the games minimum requirements and some recommended requirements. Ive updated my graphics card to the latest drivers . Actually since i have a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 I've only updated it to the 93.71_forceware_winxp2k_whql since the latest driver for it which is the 94.24_forceware_winxp_whql says taht it cant find any drivers compatibale with any of my current hardware.

Welcome to Geekstogo. Congrats on doing a good job posting all the info.

your video card only barely meets minimum video requirements. You should really be able to pick up a nice agp video card for your system for not much. Check out the video card guide in the pinned topics for this forum. Your video card is either not fast enough, has lived its useful life, or is fighting heat issues in your system. Honestly, your system is running a little on the warm side.

secondly I would use some compressed air (canned air) and clean out your fans, especially the video card.
