internet freezing

In order to help you we need all the pieces of the puzzle...
did the problem just start or has it been going on for awhile..
did you recently add any new programs or hardware..
did you recently get any updates for any of your programs or any windows updates...
what are you doing when the problem happens...
does it happen when your not connected to the internet
the more info you can give us will help solve your problem quicker...

Its been going on for a while ,i think since i bought new pc.cant really say i noticed it that much then, i added a second h/d and floppy drive. Also im on bband and this disconnects evey so often .which is another pain.

how many programs do you have running at the same time ...what are your system specs..what about when your not using your web browser...what web browser do you use IE..firefox..more info

pentuim 4 / 3.2 gig / 96 mb ram /explorer 7. i dont have other programmes running,pc seems ok when not on net.
processes running 34 cpu use max 19 % but mostly at 4 %

you don't have enough RAM...windows xp will run (BARELY) with 128 MBs of ram but the minimum should be 256 and much better with 512 MBs...
the freeze your seeing is because windows is having to use the swap file for everything...get more RAM ..its cheap..
