I have a Sony Vaio SZ230P with the Intel Centrino Duo processor. It was working fine until a few days ago, when I noticed a slowdown in performance. I tried removing spyware and running virus checks, but nothing helped. So I opened up task manager and realized I couldn't set affinity anymore! Also, my Adobe Premiere only reports a single Core now! My BIOS detects both cores, and Device Manager has drivers installed and working for 2 processors, but BOOT.INI's numproc can only be set to 1. I'm also running Notebook Hardware Control, if that might be the problem. Is there a setting somewhere I could've unchecked? Thanks in advance!
