Any way to repair jpg thumbnails?

I have a digital scrapbooking program; I needed to transfer some of the .png and .jpg files to another location within the same program. The .png files are fine and most of the .jpg, but the thumbnails for some of the jpg files have 0 kb instead of the 1, 2, etc.

I can preview the files in my computer's folder and can access them within the program itself (just can't see the preview and it causes a java.lang.NullPointerException error when opening the folder in the program).

Is there any way to fix the thumbnails so that they function properly?

Thanks for any help,
