Hi spikeydean and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log. Your log shows that there is a lot of bad stuff going on in your system, one of which is malware affecting your internet connection. This must be treated first

1. Go to Geeks to Go
. Click on My Controls at the top right hand corner of the window. (make sure you have signed in first)
. In the left hand column, click "View Topics"
. If you click on the title of your post, you will be taken there

2. Also, while at the My Controls page, check the box to the right of your post and then scroll down.
.Where it says "unsubscribe" click the pull-down menu and select "immediate email notification"

3. Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htmStart the program and then check the I know what I'm doing box.

Move all instances of [/B]fltmgr.dll[/b] (and nothing else), to the Remove pane.
Click the Finish Button and reboot.

Find and delete the file c:\windows\system32\fltmgr.dll

4. Finally, run HijackThis and with all windows closed excepr for HJT, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

Regards,

Trevuren

Hi spikeydean,

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

1.Download the Pocket KillBox from Here

2.Unzip the file to your desktop.

3.Open TheKillbox.

4.Select the Delete on reboot option.

In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the 'Delete File' button (red circle with a white X) after pasting:

C:\WINNT\System32\systr.dll

When given the option to reboot select yes.

After the reboot, run HijackThis, with all windows closed other than HijackThis, click on Scan and place a check mark beside the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the Fix checked button.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hotoffers.info/195/

5. REBOOT your system

6. Rerun Silent Runners and produce a fresh HJT log

7. Please post both logs from silentrunners and HJT

Regards,

Trevuren

Hi spideydean,

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Now let's do some work on your log:

First we need to make all files and folders VISIBLE:

Go to start>control panel>folder options>view (tab)
*choose to "show hidden files and folders,"
*uncheck the "hide protected operating system files" and the "hide extensions for know file types" boxes.
*Close the window with ok
*All hidden files will now be visible

Close all browser windows and RUN HijackThis.
. Click the SCAN button to produce a log.
. Click the Config button located in the lower right hand corner of the HijackThis window.
. When the new screen opens, find and click the Miscellaneous Tools button.
. Then choose the Open Process Manager button.
. From the list of processes, hilight the following items by clicking them, ONE AT A TIME, then DELETE them by clicking the KILL button:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofps.exe

Once all items have been KILLED, click the Back button which will return you to the HijackThis main window. Now place a check mark beside each one of the following items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hotoffers.info/187/
R3 - URLSearchHook: transURL Class - {C7EDAB2E-D7F9-11D8-BA48-C79B0C409D70} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\SEARCH~1.DLL
O2 - BHO: BL Class - {28F65FCB-D130-11D8-BA48-8BE0C49AF370} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\popup_bl.dll
O3 - Toolbar: FreshBar - {06ABAA2D-34AB-4902-A326-409BD9B9A7A5} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\iesp2.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [XPSP2 Firewall] C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [systemdll] br0ken.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [corrida] bingo9.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows Update Client ] C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WareOut] "C:\Program Files\WareOut\WareOut.exe"
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [sbin] dePloy.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PrcIdle] utsgmon.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [cnftips] borlandg.exe

Now with all the items selected, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window and Reboot Your System in Safe Mode

How to use the F8 method to Start Your Computer in Safe Mode

*Restart the computer.
*as soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
*Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode menu item
*press Enter.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them (if they are present):

FILES

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ofps.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\SEARCH~1.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\popup_bl.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\iesp2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe
br0ken.exe
bingo9.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe
dePloy.exe
utsgmon.exe
borlandg.exe

FOLDERS (with all their content)

C:\Program Files\WareOut

Exit Explorer, and REBOOT BACK INTO NORMAL MODE

Finally,RUN Hijackthis again and produce a new HJT log. Post it in the forum so we can check how everytjhing looks now.

Hi victim,

Your system is clean except for that entry. This is the first time that I have had that happen to me. We'll redo the second part of the fix.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hotoffers.info/187/

5. REBOOT your system

6. Rerun Silent Runners and produce a fresh HJT log

7. Please post both logs from silentrunners and HJT

Regards,

Trevuren

Hi again.

I have run Killthis and done as requested, I get a message pop up after I click on the delete button which says:

PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process I click OK on this message.

The system does not reboot! Just stays there with Killthis running

I have tried rebooting manually but then the system hung, had to reset, went into safe mode and then rebooted back into normal mode.

After going through the steps again in kill this system still does not reboot and I get hotoffers pop up in an Iexplore and also a message which says:

Your Windows is corrupted tieh spyware virus
You must patch your PC urgently to protect your system
Private info is accessed by ports:

-8080
-3128

You can patch your PC for free now and delete all spyware viruses.

Click OK to choose and download free spyware removal using AntiSPY.

OK Cancel

I just close window manually

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

OK spikeydean, let's clear the tracks

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuclient.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\SEARCH~1.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\popup_bl.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\iesp2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xpsp2fw.exe
br0ken.exe
bingo9.exe
dePloy.exe
utsgmon.exe
borlandg.exe

FOLDERS (with all their content)

C:\Program Files\WareOut

Exit Explorer, and REBOOT BACK INTO NORMAL MODE

Finally,RUN Hijackthis again and produce a new HJT log. Post it in the forum so we can check how everytjhing looks now.

Hi spikeydean,

We will have to start over from the start. This has never not worked for me before
.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

Download and run Silent Runners.vbs from HERE.
