CD Rom Trouble

When i put a CD into my Win 98 laptop, and i click on the D: Drive i get a message that says

D:\ is not accessible

A Device Attached to the system is not functioning

Is there a way to fix it?

If the CD drive is broken internally you can usually remove it and fit a new one. The new one is specifically made to fit your make/model of laptop so you need to check the manufacturer's website or use google to find a supplier of laptop parts covering your brand.
