hello..

hopefully someone can help, have windows 98 and using msoffice 2000, it was fine yesterday, went to load up word today and a message keeps coming up:

"this application must be installed to run. Please run setup from the location where you originally installed the application"

this is not happening in excel or powerpoint. Followed microsoft help (link below)

http://support.micro...om/?kbid=269276

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type a command line similar to the following, and then click OK:
path\Setup /fv Data1.msi
where path is the full path to your Office Setup files. For example, this is your CD-ROM drive letter if you installed Office from a CD-ROM.

Don't understand or seem to make this work... any ideas would be helpful

Thanks

Use the same CD ROM drive you used to install Office then click start then run then type CDROM Letter, e.g D:\Setup /fv Data.msi
