How do I make it show the default word icon? Its showing word pad Icon I don't want that.

There are alot of ways,

1. There is a option when you insert the disk to 'repair' something or other, use that?
2. Go to my computer, click on the tools > folder options tab and scroll down to .doc and change things there [You've posted quite a few threads I presume you know your way around this console?] If not, don't fiddle with it
3. Right click on a word document, choose > Open With > select Microsoft word and tick the box that says 'always open 'always use this program to open this kind of file'
