I'm trying to install JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 on my new laptop (running Windows Vista Home Premium, spit spit). On autorun I get:

Runtime installation error
Could not register:
C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash06007900.OCX

The software then seems to install fine after that, but crashes immediately if I use certain tools: reinstalls/repairs don't help. From what I've found online, it isn't a Vista problem (PSP8 and 9 switch to the Basic colour scheme but otherwise it should install and work fine). Suggestions gratefully received!

Yes, I've installed the latest updates (for both IE and Firefox). Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling PSP8 since, but the same errors occur.
