I have an HP Pavillion Slimline s7700n that I want to add a cd burner to it's empty slot, but I can't figure out how to open the front. I think I am seeing what looks to be hinges on the right side but that knowledge doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. I am sure someone out there knows how to get this thing open. Also once I get it open, any tips on installing would be a great help, should it just be a plug and play piece of cake? Thanks

I found the manual for your model. It seems like you have to slide off the bottom slot to remove the front cover. Refer to this link for pictures and detail. HP Upgrading Manual

I guess the "extra slot" is really the hard drive, no adding to the inside, so I guess I'll have to do the external thing. Thanks so much for the info!
