I got some spyware the other day, it keeps opening Internet Explorer windows that I don't want. I don't even use IE, I'm a Firefox user. I think it's been opening some in the background too, like hidden invisible windows, because I can see IEXPLORE.EXE when I look at system processes with ctrl+alt+del. It will open new tabs in my Firefox browser too, taking me to pages telling me to get System Doctor 2006 and stuff like that, and dialog boxes saying my PC is under attack. I tried to fix and remove some of these that I knew were bad with HijackThis, but I scan again and they are back on the list. This problem won't go away, I've never had something this bad before. If anyone could help me find what's wrong and how to fix it, I'd appreciate it greatly.

If there's anything on this list that is bad, or that I don't need, I want it removed so my system can run as smooth as possible. Thanks.

Here is my log from HijackThis:

Hi xJagox :whistling:

Step 1

You will need to ensure you have one Anti-virus program installed to protect your system.. so choose one of these free products

AVG Anti-Virus
Avast
Bit Defender

Step 2

Once you've installed your chosen anti-virus software please then Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.
  • Close all applications and windows.
  • Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
  • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt to your post. in your reply

Thank you.
