mother in law driving me crazy help

ok, my mother in law wont leave me alone about her connectivity. she has windows xp and a dlink router. Her grandson has an xbox 360. her problem is, if one is connected the other wont connect. Someone told her the ip address can only be used for one or the other.... cable company (with all their wisdom) said its not a problem with them. is there some configuration issues I might help her with to get off my butt?

Hi odukkie,

I would suggest that you follow SpaceCowboy's Xbox 360 Networking Tutorial to ensure that everything has been setup appropriately.

Someone told her the ip address can only be used for one or the other

If they're both connecting to the router, this should not be an issue.
