If this isn't the correct forum, please feel free to redirect me.
I have a program that was downloaded approx 1.5 years ago. I have tried everything to remove it, including attempting to locate it in the registry. I cannot find a way to get it off the computer. Can anyone help me? If so, what information do you need?

I am running Windows XP Pro
The name of the application is Karen's Countdown Timer 2
It does not show up on the startup menu, registry (as far as I can find) search menu, or anything else I can't think of off the top of my head.
When attempting to remove it from control panel/add/remove programs I recieve the following message: c:\documentsandsettings/user/desktop/ST6UNST.Log
Obviously, I have use of another computer for research while fixing this, so whatever further testing/info is needed, please post and I will do it straightaway.

This is a favor I am doing for my roomate, so if anyone can help, I would truly appreciate it. As of today, I have already had her complete all the steps barring posting a hijackthis log that is in the initial post for the boards. Thanks in advance, and as I said, please feel free to ask me for any further info you need, or have me move this post if necessary. I will be checking the boards all night. Thanks.

have you tried uninstalling it in safe mode?

While starting your computer tap the F8 key once every second during the memory count up, or during the system spash screen where you see the system maker's name (HP, COMPAQ, DELL....etc.)

This will result in a text based menu. Use the curors/arrorw keys to navigate to SAFE MODE and hit enter.

Does the problem recur in safe mode?.

Yes, sure did, and yes, it still occurs. I should have added that to my post last night, but I had been fixing another one all ady and couldn't think anymore. Thanks for helping.

Alright, well after looking all day for the file to find out how it is "stuck", I found it. It is somehow in bundled in a totally unrelated file that was downloaded approx 1 month ago. Odd, and it seems neither file can be deleted. Any help?
