I ran Gmer yesterday and it got the SMTCPMON.SYS rootkit. I've gotten that before. I guess what I would like to know is, what's the point? I mean it doesn't seem particularily harmful, uh, atleast not to my computer (I know others have had trouble), and it doesn't seem to be a type of spyware. So, I don't really get it. You don't know it's there unless you find it, or it's disruptive to your pc. For me it's not particularily disruptive. So, why does Secretmaker insist on the thing being "secretly" installed on peoples' PC's????????????

Oh, and i don't know how to remove it the right way. Thanx for all input :whistling:
